About RSH
How we came to build this way.
A studio that grew out of constraint — and kept the habits constraint taught it.
Where RSH started
RSH was built out of what didn’t survive.
The short version
How we got here — the parts that mattered.- THE PREMISE
- 2018
A small studio, on purpose.
RSH began as a small web studio, on the belief that a small team working carefully could ship work that lasts.
- 2019
First real work
We earned the trust of a handful of clients and shipped alongside established creative teams.
- THE PRESSURE
- 2020
The ground shifted. We took the hard briefs.
When the ground shifted, we took on ambiguous problems and turned them into systems that held.
- 2021
Learning AI quietly
We put AI to work inside our own process first — testing where it helped and where it did not.
- THE FORM IT TOOK
- 2022
Becoming RSH
The studio took its current shape: web, SaaS, and the AI under them, built to order.
- 2023
Augmented, not automated
AI extended what a small team could take on, without changing how carefully we took it on.
- 2024
We let the work carry the name.
We kept the client list short and let the work speak for itself.
- 2025+
A few engagements at a time. Chosen.
There is only so much attention, and dividing it is how work goes wrong.
Who builds it
RSH is a small group of engineers, designers, and strategists led by John Leskas.
How we work
We work in the open with the people who own the decision, and ship work we can stand behind.
- Who you work with
The people who build it — hands-on from the brief to the build, not an account layer between you and the work.
- How it’s made
The brief and the build stay in the same room, and progress stays honest the whole way.
- What we build with
The tools that are genuinely new, used where they earn their place — not for their own sake.
- What you’re left holding
A system that outlasts the engagement that built it.
Pressure into work
Hard constraints are where the good work comes from. We take the pressure and turn it into the thing that ships.
